We built OpenDrop to make it easy for creators to reward their fans, for brands to run giveaways, and for anyone to send a meaningful gift — all without needing an email address or phone number.

How it works

  1. 1.Create a drop — Sign in, enter a @username and platform, and attach a reward code or gift card.
  2. 2.Drop the link in chat — OpenDrop generates a unique claim link. Drop it in Twitch chat, a YouTube comment, or a tweet. Everyone can see the proof — no DMs needed.
  3. 3.They verify and claim — The @username connects their social account via OAuth. If the handle matches, the reward is revealed instantly.

How do I claim a drop?

Open the claim link and connect your social account via OAuth. Once we verify that you own the intended handle, your reward is revealed instantly.

Do I need an account?

No sign-up required to claim. Connect via OAuth with your social platform and your reward is revealed instantly. We do create a lightweight OpenDrop account in the background so future drops to your handle are even faster — but you never have to set a password or fill out a profile.

Can someone else claim my drop?

No. A drop can only be claimed by someone who verifies they own the intended handle via OAuth. If the handle doesn't match, the drop simply stays open and unclaimed — waiting for the right person.

What if my handle is wrong?

The drop won't be claimable if the handle doesn't match. Contact the sender and ask them to create a new drop with the correct handle.

What platforms are supported?

Twitch is supported now, with YouTube, TikTok, Discord, and Instagram coming soon.

Is OpenDrop safe?

Yes. Identity is verified directly with your social platform via OAuth — we only request the data needed to validate your username and process the drop. Reward codes are end-to-end encrypted, we don't store payment information, and we never sell your data. No wallet, no crypto, no extra passwords.
